Draco Malfoy is in a conundrum and that is putting it lightly. He's very close to hurling himself off his Manor roof and the only thing holding him back is his mother. His poor, magic-stripped, widowed mother; And his fiancée is sick, with low chances of making it out.
Also, had he mentioned his father has been executed on the orders of the Ministry? No? Hard to keep track of how his life has been unraveling and everything has been gone horribly wrong the last few years. Actually- His whole life. He would not like to get into that in a summary, thank you very much.
And so Draco decides, quite selfishly if he does say so himself, to change it all.
After tinkering with the Vanishing Cabinet, he goes back in time. Quite the leap of faith but he is desparate. This time, he's going to save everyone around him and make sure that those who suffered because him or around him had to go through no such pain again. Of course, he'll look out for him self the whole time, being the sneaky and evil Slytherin he is. This is all nasty self-preservation, you hear me?

He tells himself that this world will never know the name 'Voldemort'.Essentially: A Harry Potter raises Tom Riddle story. I tried to put my own twist on the old trope, and rely on personal interpretation of canon moreso than fanon.

Hello! I have set out to write a strictly canon-compliant LOOOONG interpretation of the Marauders. There’s very little fanon (sorry!), but there’ll be as much angst and fluff as I can get away with while staying true to the canon. There will be a lot of (hopefully canon-compliant) made-up plot and the story will be set against a canon-compliant tapestry of Hogwarts experiences. The 1970s muggle culture won't feature. It was certainly an interesting time to be a muggle, but this is a Hogwarts story.
When I say canon-compliant, I mean that it should feel entirely consistent with what we read in the books – I have barely seen the movies and I only rely on other things JK Rowling have published about the characters or events if I feel it's additive to the story.
If you want to spend a lot of time with the marauders from the book series - this should be a good story for you!
