Summary
Instead of doing TW at the beginning of each chapter, I'm going to say right now that the story is dark and has violence against a multitude of persons, including the main characters (though that's mostly in childhood or flashbacks). It's an AU, centered around a few places, mainly a bookstore and can be considered a stalker AU. Grace is a bookstore employee and child advocate with a dark past and mysterious lifestyle and Simon is an author and bookstore regular who is intrigued by her, and maybe downright infatuated.

Summary
For 33 years, The Conductor, a usurper of magic has been growing in power. She only fears being toppled by the Witches of the One. However, she has a pupil in orphaned Simon, and she is sending him after the future of the witches, Grace, to destroy her. Amelia has been tampering with destiny for a long time, and Simon's destiny is intertwined with Grace's.

Summary
Hunting was all Grace and Simon knew, it was their life's work to rid the earth of those foul monsters who pretended they were people. After over ten years of fighting side-by-side, neither ever wanted anything to change.
Unfortunately change has a habit of coming regardless on one's wants, and after a vampire attack leaves Simon changed, Grace struggles to pick up the pieces.

it’s almost midnight and they didn’t mean to stay this long, never do, but he knows they’ll still be here in the morning. that’s how this goes. maybe they will flip pancakes for breakfast and stay long enough to catch the galaxy wars marathon at noon, or maybe they will leave quietly in the same clothes they’ve slept in. but they’ll wake up together. there’s something meaningful in that that he’ll unearth later.
