Jack gets sick soon after the strike starts, but he knows he doesn't have time to be sick. Not while everything the Newsies stand for is on the line. He manages to hide the illness throughout the strike- mostly- but it was inevitable from the start that someone would find out eventually.

When Davey got home late one day and announced a new project for work Jack didn't think much of it, after all, him and Davey had a routine, they were roommates for a long time at that point and their lives were just the right amount of intertwined and separate for them to develop a routine.
How could Jack know that this new project was going to shatter not only their routine but also some of the most basic unspoken rules of their friendship?
Could he deal with this new reality, wherein he needs to act as Davey's anchor, rock and shelter even when Davey doesn't want that and help him where he can't help himself?
And finally, could this situation that Jack and Davey find themselves in dig up old, long buried feelings and maybe change their relationship?

Jack wasn't a 'normal' person, because 'normal' people don't have tails or ears that represents a cat. He's struggling with trauma from his father and the guilt from his mother. When he's brought into a new home with his bio brother and his found brother. As well as dealing with the fact of a new crush.
Spot is used to his ears and tail at this point and having a wonderful boyfriend, but he still deals with his mothers death, and his mental issues and anger issues. When his mother brings home new 'kitty's' and those 'kitten's' has many problems is spot going to good older brother to the new 'cats'?
Crutchie doesn't care that he is a cat boy. He seems to forget that he is sometimes. The thing that bothers him the most was the fact that he is trying to help his brother but his brother wont take his help.\
David is just your average person. He doesn't have ears or a tail just a human, he's never seen anything wrong with people being cat hybrids until he meets a certain cat boy that joins his class halfway through the school year.
