In 1964 and 1967, the Beatles made plans to buy a Greek island as a tax dodge and escape from the world. Both plans fell out, but what would happen if those dreams were given just a little push? And how long will it take before John's manic desire to make a sovereign nation are finally quashed?
A crack idea taken seriously, which is most of my writing these days.

Suddenly, a jolting sensation shot up Richard’s spine. He whipped his head around to see the captain poking at a magenta tentacle.
“Squish,” the captain hummed as he poked it the fleshy appendage again and Richard shuddered at the feeling.
The feeling. Of the captain. Touching a tentacle. That was attached to his own body.
“I didn’t expect heaven to be like this,” the captain said, eyes half-lidded.
“This ain’t heaven,” Richard moaned, “this is hell. ”
