He tries, and he has tried, but none of his closest friends know about his ex-boyfriend of 3 years, and none of them know why Jaeyun becomes so melancholy with each anniversary that passes. The anniversary that they met, the anniversary that they began dating, and the anniversary that Heeseung left.

Jaeyun’s spent all this time hanging out with Heeseung and being there for him, he’s sort of forgotten just how attracted to Heeseung he really is.
The sheer force of that attraction, how even after their hasty escapades, as they both wrestle on shirts and pants against damp, sticky skin and say their chaste goodbyes, Jaeyun always feels that pang of loneliness and ennui crawl back up into his heart again.

Jake looks at him, half asleep, and lifts a warning finger. “No,” he says.
Heeseung lifts himself up in one forearm, looms over him just a little bit. “No?” he asks. He sounds so playful. The early morning brushes against the salt-and-pepper of his hair and Jake needs to close his eyes, needs to turn away from Heeseung’s hungry little smile, his knowing eyes.
“It’s very early,” Jake says, “and you had me last night. You’re an insatiable monster and I can’t believe I married you”.(Or: Jake and Heeseung grow up. The ghosts appear.)
