Summary
The Membrane household is rather busy, especially with all its inhabitants.
There's Dib, a 12-year-old kid who's obsessed with aliens, his sister Gaz, on her way to becoming an all-star gamer; she's 10. Their father is a scientist who admittedly has a few screws loose.
Last but not least, Zim and GIR, two adopted children with skin conditions who are, surprisingly, the most normal thing about the family.

Summary
Zim was always considered a defect to his race. Nothing more than a flaw in the machine, a mistake; something that wasn’t up to code for what the Control Brains demanded… but what if there was more to it? What if Zim wasn’t ‘defective’, but merely the product of an ancient civilization lost to Irk’s history books?

Summary
Self-appointed Irken Biologist Kwee is well-aware of the nature of the continuously destructive Irken race. Sure enough, at the beginning of Operation Impending Doom Two, he knows what to expect - some alien races will be subjected to enslavement or, more concerningly, extinction.
The lone defective has provided himself with a quest in the name of science: gathering subjects from races to a planetary sanctuary for study and preservation.
Rule number one has always been "Trust no one." However, he finds this rule tested as he finally reaches the planet at the bottom of the list, a mystery planet known only as Earth, and finds himself face to face with his former co-drone and fellow defective, Zim.
