Summary
After defeating Cazador and releasing the Spawn to the Underdark, Astarion finds himself in the graveyard, waiting for whatever retribution they want to visit upon him after what he did to them.
At the last moment, Gale steps in to save him, only to find the tables turned when he realizes Astarion would have died without a word to them all, and goes to sacrifice himself to the kill the Elder Brain as he should have done all along.
Astarion stops him from making that mistake, and together, they survive saving the world, and find a way forward... together.

“So-“ She began to speak after a brief silence.
“If you drink a sentient being’s blood-“
“I’ll know for sure that I can deliberately disobey the rules I was forced to abide by.” I interrupted.
She looked at the ground and quietly spoke to herself. She wasn’t actually considering letting me drink from her, was she?
“May I ask you something?” She looked back up at me, eyes wide like a doll’s.
“I don’t see why not.”
“Why me?” She asked, the look of uneasiness returning to her face.
Why her?
I couldn’t simply tell her that my mind ran wild like a beast’s. That the way she laid there so helplessly and serene called to me like a siren song. That I needed to taste her. More than I needed anything else at this moment. She’d think me a monster.
But then again, maybe she’d be right.

Nine months passed since the Netherbrain's destruction, and Astarion finds himself reunited with Gale. Agreeing to move with Gale to Waterdeep and live at Blackstaff Academy, Gale becomes increasingly busy in his study and Astarion finds out just how dedicated Gale is to helping him live a normal life.

Half a year after the Netherbrain is defeated, Gale has a problem that only Astarion can help with. The wizard has miraculously met just the right woman for him, but after decades of purely non-corporeal delights he's rubbish in bed, and desperately needs Astarion's expertise to save his new relationship.
From where Astarion stands, the plan has no downsides: there's no way giving sex lessons to his kind, generous, inventive, and very attractive friend can lead to the vampire catching feelings. -

My friend asked me the other day what I thought happened to Tav in Durge runs. Now we're here.
“I'm technically a sorcerer? I'm not very good at it but that's neither here nor there,” Temerity said, backing away from him. “I saw you up there watching the city fall to ruin and helping in its destruction.”
“ ‘Technically a sorcerer’? What does that mean exactly?” Mr. Dekarios folded his arms.
“It means I can cast it just doesn't really ever go how I hope. I can pretty much only cast ‘shield’ correctly and even that seems to have gone to shit on me,” Temerity said, rubbing her face. “What were you doing on the elder brain?” Mr. Dekarios pointedly looked around them.
“If you're going to accuse me of a war crime can you at least base it in fact?” Tara swatted him with her paw.
“Cast identify on her,” Tara hissed. Mr.Dekarios sneered at the cat, before complying and casting the spell. His face completely shifted.

Sick and tired of being on earth centuries after her friends and family died while she stayed the same, Mistress of Death Avyanna Potter decides to move to a completely different world with help from Death, but even on this world as it seems to constantly get into some kind of danger, she seems to be unable to find the peace she wants
And of course, it probably doesn't help that even several centuries later, she still has the rather unfortunate abit of sticking her nose into the business of others and the huge urge to help anyone in need no matter what, changing the fates of many and preventing the plans of those planning to hurt others without so much as a hesitation
Getting kidnapped and getting a worm put inside her brain with the threat of turning into a mindflayer was just par for the course for her now, really. But even as she fights to live another day and the world she had gotten to know descends into chaos, she wonders if she'll ever find the happiness she craves. She should have remembered Dumbledore's words

Gale removed a dark green flask from the ice box and set it on the table in front of Astarion. When Astarion only looked at him with raised eyebrows, he scrambled over to the cabinets to fetch a goblet. “Of course, here you go,” he said and offered it to him.
Astarion took the glass slowly.
“My dear, never let it be said that I’d say no to day drinking, but you could at least join me for the wine,” he said.
Gale blinked at him.
“Oh, it’s not- It’s blood.”
“Pardon?”
“It’s blood,” the wizard repeated. “Cow’s blood to be exact, though I also have pig’s if you prefer it. I had some delivered from the butcher along with my groceries. It should only be a couple of hours old.”
“You got me blood,” Astarion said, dumbstruck.
“Well, yes,” Gale chuckled nervously. “I’d be an awful host if I didn’t even try to feed my guest."

Tav has worked for years trying to harness the power of the Weave, to appease her parents and their high hopes for her to become a powerful sorceress. She has been in training for as long as she can remember, feeling hopeless as she constantly fails to meet the expectations set for her. The very same day she discovers a sign of a spark within her, she finds herself abducted and thrown into a strange wilderness- having to survive on her own. That is- until she comes across others in a similar predicament, one among them a knowledgeable wizard that may have a heart big enough to offer her guidance in a way she has never experienced before.
The original backstory created for my High Elf Tav, and a retelling of my Baldurs Gate 3 experience with some minor changes to canon to accelerate storytelling- as well as some cute original dialogue and banter that I am proud of and makes me smile. Emphasis on Gale Interactions because Gale is the eventual romance, but so many other things have to happen first!
This is really just a passion project that started with me wanting my Tav to have an idea of her past life.

As their options dwindle in Baldur's Gate, Cazador sends Astarion to Waterdeep. It comes with a lot of perks. Most notably, he's far from Cazador, sending victims by boat instead of personal delivery.
Astarion has a simple plan in Waterdeep. He will seduce the wizard, learn what magic keeps Cazador at bay, then flee. Free at last.
The wizard in question, though? Absolutely sexless. Impossible to seduce.
