It’s early spring in the year 1912 and Frank Iero (17), a young man from an upper-class Edwardian family, is engaged to marry a young socialite named Victoria Anderson (18), heiress to the million dollar Anderson family fortune. The engagement manifested at the order of Frank’s father, Charles, in order for the debt-ridden Iero family to gain the Anderson family fortune and avoid bankruptcy, allowing them to maintain the lavish lifestyle Charles is unwilling to relinquish. Frank, his father and his fiancée are returning from their holiday in Europe on Titanic; back home to Pennsylvania where the wedding between Frank and Victoria will take place.
Gerard Way (20) is a cunning young drifter from Wisconsin and a talented portrait artist who wins tickets for himself and his best friend, Raymond Toro (20), aboard Titanic in a lucky game of poker at a pub near the White Star Line pier in Southampton. Gerard is travelling to New York City to seek new opportunities and adventure and to make a name for himself as an artist.

After traveling across the Etherium for a year, twenty-year-old Jim is lucky enough to score a couple tickets to board the RMS Titanic, the largest cruise ship ever built, with a heading set for Crescentia that will take him home.
Kate is also boarding the ship and not so lucky, for her Dowager Duchess grandmother is forcing her to marry the son of a baron, Caledon Hockley, whose family has recently come into preeminence from the discovery of a new mine containing a rare metal.
Her attempt to wrest back some measure of control over her life by escaping it permanently causes Kate to meet Jim who pulls her back from the edge both literally and figuratively. What develops from there is a passionate love that catches them both off guard and sweeps them along until disaster strikes in the form of an asteroid collision in a gravity well where up to the fringe edge of it, the normally airy Etherium is more water-like. The Titanic has only half the lifeboats per its total passenger count and there are no life vests either for it’s well known that ships can’t sink and no one can drown in the Etherium.
