She reads the message over and over. It glows on the screen, as if she expects the string of words to change location and suddenly form a different sentence. It doesn't."Rhaenyra just confirmed. She will be there. We are all goin'. Please, Alicent, I know things aren't going well, but we can't do this without you."
She could pretend she didn't read it; she could keep running. But deep down she knows she won't. She knows she'll get on a plane and go back because she wants to, because she doesn't have the strength not to, because she's exhausted. Because it is time for her to move on.

And she knows that Rhaenyra will have one more reason to hate her the moment she sets foot in the Red Keep. Not that she needs another. The last time already caused a lifetime of pain.
