Summary
Obi-Wan Kenobi is a well-known actor in London's West End who's just signed a contract to make his long-awaited Broadway debut as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables. There's just one small wrinkle. Broadway star Cody Fett will be playing Inspector Javert. Obi-Wan hasn't seen Cody since the summer he was nineteen, when they were in summer stock together... also in a production of Les Miserables. Their relationship ended badly. What will happen when they see each other again for the first time in nineteen years? Will they ever find a way to tell each other the truth about what happened at the end of that summer?

Summary
Cody has wanted to be a ballplayer since she knew how to hold a bat. But life in Rockford, IL in the inaugural season of the All-American Girls' Professional Baseball League isn't exactly what she expected. The uniforms are dresses, there are regular hair and makeup sessions, and she's required to wear heels every time she leaves the house. Cody spends most of her time with Siri and Quinn, infielders who rack up fines for wearing trousers practically every day.
On the opposite end of the spectrum is Obi-Wan Kenobi, the team's ace pitcher. Her lipstick is always flawless, her curls are always just so, and she never seems to break a sweat, even when she's working on a perfect game. She and Cody make a perfect battery on the field, but Kenobi hardly looks Cody's way off of it.
That all changes the day Cody takes a cleat to the face.

“Is that something you’re interested in, Cody?” One long finger traces down the back of Cody’s hand. The coolness of his touch almost makes him shiver. “Control?”
Is this… is this going where Cody thinks it’s going? Should he risk it in a response? A thrill goes through his stomach; his breath catches in his throat. He finally meets Ben’s gaze, painfully aware that his breathing has accelerated and his heart is pounding away in his chest. “No, sir. There are some aspects of my life where it is logical to maintain control, but the bed is not one of those places.”
“Intriguing,” Ben muses. He doesn’t look displeased with the answer; his lips curl up at the corners. “Very intriguing.”

Summary
And anyway, it isn’t as though there’s no reason for Helix’s temper. With Bones temporarily out of commission with his dominant wrist in plaster after an unfortunate incident with a trooper that had been inadvertently startled awake and lashed out, Helix has found himself having to shoulder the CMO’s duties as well as as many of his own as possible—and send his own field medics on campaigns without him. Frankly, Obi-Wan would be more concerned if he wasn’t starting to fray a little bit.
Still. Things clearly cannot continue on as they have been, and as Helix’s and the commander’s tempers tend towards flint and durasteel, it is up to Obi-Wan to attempt to mitigate the situation until Bones can get his cast off.
Fortunately, he has a plan. It goes a little like this.
