Summary
Tate gets through life by taking the beatings given and forcing his way through. Then he meets Patrick Jane and suddenly all his problems are lifted, leaving him swinging at empty air. He's jealous of how sweet Patrick is with his kid and terrified of the moment all Patrick's marks feel when the trap closes in and he will stop feeling safe and realise how useless at protecting Bo he really is. It's the only thing he has left and as sick as it is, he isn't sure whether he'd be happier if he kept with the beatings if it meant he could still be useful to Bo.
