Eve never existed, but people certainly seemed to think she did. No one but a select few angels ever knew that Eve wasn't name, so much as a title, an occupation. Life bringer.
The human that gave birth to humanity.
After Lilith's betrayal, that responsibility fell onto the shoulders of Adam, the only remaining human. He was made to take on both forms, at times he'd be that which Heaven called man, and at times he'd be that which they called woman.After pain and betrayal, after the death of his child, Adam begins to hate when his body takes on the form of Eve. He begins to hate everything associated with it. He refuses to take that form when he becomes an angel.
But when he dies as an angel, Adam finds himself stuck in his Eve form in front of the Hazbin Hotel.
And in front of a Lucifer who has no idea that Eve never existed.

The question is sudden. Your therapist tilts her head, looking at you over the rims of her half-moon-shaped glasses, the chain dangles when she tilts her head to look at you, curiously. She tugs at the sleeves of her teal cardigan sweater, and she clears her throat.
"Why do you ask that?" She inquires-a quip prevalent in her tone, intrigued.
You smile, looking down at your hands, seeing the chipped-away cuticles and the jagged edges of your nails from biting them.
"I don't know..." You reply. It was a quick response, something you did to just answer and leave it, but, you take a deep breath, trying to gather the thoughts in your head so you can expand upon this point. "I... I think she enjoyed it."

“Why can’t I just die?” He begs Henry, and understanding flickers over his uncle’s eyes. It makes Michael sob harder, his uncle’s speech turning over in his mind. Michael decides to risk it, so he stutters out part of Henry's speech.
“And to you, my brave volunteer. Who somehow found this job listing not intended for you. Although, there was a way out planned for you -” Uncle Henry interrupts Michael with a pained, grim smile, whispering in his nephew’s ear so that only he can hear him.
“I have a feeling that’s not what you want. I have a feeling that you are right where you want to be.” Michael laughs in relief between his broken sobs, not those of a teenager but a grown, broken man.
A Michael Afton-centric time travel fic, but Old Man Consequences meddles a little too much.

Crowley blinks out of his haze about Aziraphale because those words…even through his hazy brain…they seem…familiar. He feels the phantom feeling of a hand on his arm, staring down a legion of demons, and Shax holding up the letters – memories begin to resurface quickly through the sea of his drowning subconsciousness on top of that.
He tries to shove any feelings threatening to resurface alongside them because he cannot go back to that place of feeling love again. He cannot go back to that because, despite all the pain he feels in every ounce of his being, despite the desperation he has to feel Aziraphale’s arms around him and feel safe, the pain from before is worse. It cuts through him like a holy blade and disintegrates his essence.
