Here Robbe is one year elder than Sander and he lives in Antwerpen, Sander lives in Groningen (the Netherlands). They knew each other when Robbe was 16 y.o. Now he is 30.
You may consider this story to be sad and it is kind of. But real life is not the fairytale Robbe and Sander have in serias.
It has its ups and downs constantly. Bipolar disorder is not that romantic in fact. Although in this universe Robbe and Sander are not together they try to live their lives as happy as possible. They are not a couple, they live far away from each other. They have friendship and love. And they do their best to keep it.
This is a story about their life decisicions and how their lives decide on them. -

Robbe loved Noor. Robbe loved God. Most important of all, Robbe loved his mother. He went to church every Sunday, prayed before eating (even just in a whisper to himself at school, hands clasped under the lunch table), and even had special pens for annotating the Bible because it made his mother happy that he memorized the verses. He kept it and his little red pencil pouch on his bedside table, next to the lamp. Whenever his mother was in his room, she would look at it and smile. Robbe, however, couldn’t look at it without feeling a weight sink in his gut. As proudly as that book sat on his table to see, the work he looked at far more often was shamefully tucked away in a shoebox underneath his bed. Instead of containing the holy word, its pages were filled with unholy images of half-naked men, beads of sweat dripping down their necks, muscles flexed, teasing v-line cutting off right at the edge of the page. Unless he was lost in its pages, he could, for the most part, pretend it didn’t exist. However, he couldn’t pretend any longer when he came home from school to find his mother and Noor sitting at the dining room table, his shame laid out for all the world to see.

Standing on the makeshift stairs next to Noor, is this fox-like brown-haired boy with a face mask, idly holding a spray can he’s clearly never used. And the moon fills his hair, catches his dark eyes, lines his body against the truck. Sander raises his camera, snapping a picture before he can second-guess himself. He pulls down his mask and takes a deep inhale, tries to find his scent, but with nearly 50 other people here, it’s impossible to pick out.
