Why can't Adrien Agreste just leave me alone? Something's not right about him and that identical cousin of his! Ever since they started attending school, my instincts have been telling me to keep my distance. And dealing with his flirting while helping Kagami cope with his cousin takes up so much of my energy. I don't understand why so many people - even Alya to an extent - think Adrien and I would be a good couple!
Besides, I'm also trying to fight off an attraction to Cat Noir, one of Paris's local rogues. AND I'm starting to get presents in odd places. Kagami, too. What's going on?!

I wish she'd give me the time of day. Ever since my cousin, Félix, and I started attending school, I've had my heart set on asking Marinette Dupain-Cheng out. And the fact that Félix has the hots for her friend, Kagami, doesn't hurt, either. But every time, something comes up or she makes an excuse to decline. Master Fu brought Chat Noir with him to rebuild the Order, leaving Ladybug to protect Paris alone. She can handle an unbalanced ladybug miraculous without giving into her emotions, it's just bad luck. Losing her half finished notes on the Grimoire to a home burglary was just bad luck. Hawkmoth reinforcing the glamor to the extent that the Justice League stopped helping her was just bad luck. Any requests for aid never reaching Fu was just bad luck. Her family dying in a house fire while she is out fighting an akuma was just bad luck.
Marinette's theory filled sketchbook, her last hope at finally stopping Hawk Moth, is destroyed. The akuma sent after her when the rage finally blazes out of her mental lockbox is just bad luck.
Something far worse gets to her before the akuma. Just. Bad. Luck.
