Summary
Raven has wanted a baby for a very long time. Since she discovered she wasn't infertile at the age of 22 she was looking for a peferct man to marry and have a child with. But none of her boyfriends was ever a good material for a dad. It was frustrating and after each and every one of her break ups she'd go vent to her best friend, Damian, aka the only person in their friend circle with as much luck in love as her. They'd drink together for the whole night and talk about their exes. At this point it was kind of a tradition. But after another break up Damian asks her to have a child together and to Raven's surprise it doesn't seem like half a bad idea.
Add to that the fact they are not willing to admit they like each other more than friends and you have a perfect scenario for a catastrophy... or maybe not?

Summary
The Earth was conqured by the demon race, lead by Trigon and his seven children, but for some reason the devil did not add this world to his kingdom as a colony. Instead he agreed to leave Earth under his only daughter's rule. Not able to get a better deal, Earth's leaders have to agree. But leaving Earth in full control of a demoness isn't in their plans. She is to take a human husband of her choosing. It's humilating that their last hope is a belief that he'll be able to control her through bed and affection, but it's their best way to ensure a safe life for all Earth's inhabitants. Though let's just add that the queen's choice is rather... questionable. Even for her now fiancé.

Summary
Trigon has conquered Earth. Raven is supposed to have died after she was tricked by her brothers and used as a portal to bring Trigon into this plane of existence. Unbeknownst to them, she has survived and is the leader of the Resistance against Trigon.
Damian, after witnessing his father’s death and having been killed himself, is resurrected into the League of Assassins. They are the last bastion of neutrality, and are trying to decide if they should side with the Resistance or with Trigon. Damian is tasked to play both sides and learn where the League of Assassins’ strength belongs.
When he takes part in a mission to save a Resistance member from one of Trigon’s sons, he learns two very important things: Raven is stronger than she lets on, and she just may have what it takes to save the world.
He just hopes he can save his heart too.
