aizawa shouta woke up in a strange bed. well, if you could call it that, a mouldy mattress might have been more accurate. he had no recollection of how he got there, as he was fairly certain that he'd fallen asleep in his bed. the second strange thing was the pain; yes, he'd gotten a little bruised up last night on patrol, but this was more than muscle pain. opening his eyes he saw a strange room, but what got his attention was his - or notably not his body, covered in burn scars. oh, and the soul mark that matched his.

Summary
It was a completely normal mission. Supposed a last for a few days, yes, but a normal mission. A normal mission for which they had to call for backup when everything didn't go according to the plan.
Aizawa Shouta was called as a backup for a mission. He was out of the city, getting a gift for his husband when he got an emergency call. A situation nearby was getting out of hand.
When he arrives at the scene a little child he was trying to evacuate manifests their quirk and turns Aizawa into a cat. Unfortunately, the kid and their parents both die and it seems that no one knows how the child's quirk works.
As a cat, Aizawa stumbles upon two homeless kids and his cat instincts straight away adopt the two kittens.

Izuku's life changed drastically when he found a brand new skateboard at the trash beach where he'd been living by himself. He gathered more self-confidence, got in shape, and Katsuki is a bad influence. Not that Hitoshi isn't. Or to be fair, they all are a bad influence on each other and Aizawa suffers.

Summary
The first two nights, Harry sleeps like the dead— or, well, maybe that's not the best comparison, given the number of inferi attacks reported lately.
He sleeps like a log. Like a dead log. An un-re-animated dead log. From an everyday, inanimate, non-whomping tree.
After that, Harry wakes up screaming more nights than not, and he even cries on the bad ones, which makes James cry too. In this regard, James reckons that his first week of parenting a full-grown teenage adult bears an awful lot of resemblance to parenting a newborn baby. He feels both blessed and terrifyingly out of his depth.
