Summary
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is opening its doors a year after the Battle of Hogwarts, and the end of Voldemort’s reign of terror. During the year it was closed, renovations commenced; professors, students, and families grieved; and Death Eaters have been rounded for trials and sentencing. Draco Malfoy is one such Death Eater who has been sentenced and is now released. For one year, he was in Azkaban, and now he is returning to his old school, where horrible memories lurk around every corner. Hermione Granger will also be returning. Her year was spent piecing her life back together: finding her parents and undoing the Obliviate spell, grieving the loss of her friends, and fighting with Ron Weasley. Every room in the castle, no matter if it was untouched or has been redone, is coated with old memories neither Draco nor Hermione want to relive. The jolting reality that they were mere children fighting a war against Dark wizards did not sit well with anyone. Going back to Hogwarts may be the last straw for Draco and Hermione, or it may be the very thing they need to heal.
