“You know, I’m missing my friend too,” Phil mumbled and that got a response out of Techno. He raised his head curiously, cocking his head as he listened.
“You know, you could help me look for him if you have nothing better to do," Phil suggested.
Techno looked at him and desperately wished he could tell him ‘I’m right here, you don’t need to find me, I’m here,’ but that wasn’t happening any time soon. Not in this condition.

Techno was a close companion with grief and loss.
You didn’t live as long of a life as he did and not experience loss in some way shape or form. He’s lost all sorts, family, friends, and close confidences to all manner of things. But never in his long life had he experienced grief that cut this deep. Never had he felt such emptiness than what he was experiencing with the loss of Philza. The young boy that had been in their lives for less than a year had left such a hole that Techno’s soul was aching something fierce. It made the five years without him drag on achingly slow, so long and yet at the same time, it all passed in the blink of an eye.Or: everyone in this story needs therapy.

Technoblade would like to say that he had been rather patient with the humans traveling through his territory.
He had let them take their ship across his part of the sea, but it had been days since Techno first noticed the change in the water, alerting him of the ship. An entire week since it fully entered the area ... And it was still there.
It was getting on his nerves. So he gave the humans a final warning, a rattling hiss that could be heard even when on the surface, a siren’s warning to leave the area.
His warning was blatantly ignored.
So with a clean conscience, he lured the ship into the rocks. Waiting until the boat sank to explore its contents.
He didn't expect to find... a pup.

A chair sits uninterestingly in an odd corner of an odd hidden corridor of the prison. Punz just stares at it. Studying the weirdly placed furniture hidden away like some dirty secret … but that’s not what makes his breath catch in his chest and still his every movement. No it’s the blood stains, the leather straps, the divets and roughed up wood that he sees lining it’s edges that make him feel as if he might throw up.
It’s not where the chair is, but where it has been that ties Punz’s stomach into endless knots. It’s the implication carved into it as if suffering is engraved into the grains of the wood, as if the residue of pain coats it, that makes him freeze with horror. Because it’s The chair.
