Summary
Everything had been fine. Until Loki showed up.
The first time Mobius saw him outside his window in the middle of the night, he rushed outside without his shoes. Loki was gone as soon as Mobius made it out the door.
'You’re losing it,' Mobius had thought, his bare feet cold on the concrete, 'You’re losing your mind.' He thought the multiple lifetimes he lived were getting muddled in his brain and wondered if he needed to track Sylvie down again to ask her to fix it- especially when Loki kept coming back. Every time Mobius approached, Loki would flicker out of existence, like he was never there. Mobius got as close as a yard before Loki noticed him and blinked away, like a ghost.

Loki is dying. Being the protector and battery of the timelines for so long has deteriorated his body and mind. In a last ditch effort, Loki reaches out to Mobius, but will it be enough?

“Look, can’t you just come back in a couple days?” Don asked. “There must be some kind of presidential thing that needs your attention until then.”
“Yes, as it so happens, the president is extremely busy, which is why we have been meeting at my convenience, not yours,” Loki said, acid in his voice. “Are you telling me no? Do you need a reminder of who is in charge here?”
A muffled thump sounded before Don could answer. Loki turned his head and saw two small faces peering out of the living room window.
Life as president isn’t as glorious as Loki had imagined it would be, but when it all becomes too tiresome he knows just where to go to unwind.
Don is more than happy to welcome Loki back into his home (and bed), and their arrangement seems perfect until Loki shows up at the worst possible time.

There's something happening in the multiverse and Stephen needs Loki's help. Unfortunately for him, Loki has found his glorious purpose.

Summary
Loki has finally found a way to have Yggdrasil stable without him spending eternity alone. With his immensely stronger powers being the God of Stories and the ability to change/alter the timelines he decides to use his powers to settle down with Mobius (Don) in another timeline. Years after meeting this version of Mobius and having a relationship with him they two settle down.
It starts well until he realizes this timeline the Avengers and his family are still alive except their Loki is dead. He knows he could go to another timeline to avoid trouble but Loki already attached himself to Don and his kids decided to continue living in this timeline just to be a "low-key" cover. All Loki wants to do is spend the rest of his life with Don and his kids as a stay-at-home parent.
To his dismay, he ends up having to deal with the Avengers, Thor & his parents, and evil forces intervening in his domestic life. -

Colonies of elves, dwarves, trolls, goblins, fairies, and many many more come and make homes for themselves. Now Loki has to keep order and become the king-like figure he trained his entire life to be and teach his sons the same thing along the way.

After nearly five centuries of (involuntary) service, Mobius had announced he was stepping away from the TVA, at least for a little bit. His original timeline had been brought back to life by Loki’s magic when weaving the Yggdrasil and he was going back to his sons. He asked Loki to come with him.
Loki had been hesitant, but Mobius managed to talk him into it. You won’t even be around them that much while you get to know each other, he’d said, It’s not like you’ll be immediately jumping into parenting them.
And wasn’t that a scary thought?
Loki? A parent?
His own upbringing hadn’t been great, how was he supposed to help raise two children without damaging them in some way?

There’s a house across the street that Don isn’t sure was there the day before.
Not that he’s made a habit of looking too closely at the houses surrounding his. The grass always looks more even and the paint is always a bit brighter. Sue him, he’d rather protect his peace of mind over the insidious comparative nature of midwestern suburbia. So, in the long run, anything strange about the house across the street could be nothing more than re-painted doors or maybe a new bush on the lawn.
