Summary
Loki had always felt different. He’s not sure why, but he never quite belonged. The other boys tease him and say he’s a girl, and every night, Loki dreams that he is a girl. The girl is happy whereas the boy is not. The girl fits in. The girl belongs. Little by little, Loki gets convinced that he was supposed to be born a girl. But something goes wrong with the girl in his dreams. Overnight the dreams turn into nightmares, and Loki has no idea why. As both he and his Dream Girl are growing up they search for identity, love, and what it means to become who you are.

Loki was many things, but one of his little-known habits was his curiosity, or rather the fact that he acted on it without necessarily thinking about the consequences. Well, it was more that he did not care, to be honest. Loki is a scientist at heart, he likes to test things, so what could be better for a magical being like him than to have the Tesseract? Of course, he was going to experiment with it, what was Thor thinking?
Oh, yes... Thor did not know. It did not matter though. It was a detail.
Except when said detail led him to a Thor with TWO natural eyes, an adoptive father conveniently falling into a magical coma to let him deal with the shitty foreign policy – with an impending war, had he forgotten? – and a still-living mother who had always been too perceptive for her own good. Bloody witches.

Summary
Rowan is a troubled 18 year old, who has run away from university. That wouldn't be a problem, except that Tony Stark is their uncle, and isn't happy with their behavior. He forces them to live at the Avengers Compound, to keep an eye on them. But at that same compound lives Loki, always looking for ways to get under Stark's skin.
Because of the dangers of Stark's occupation, Rowan is unexpectedly thrown into the company of Loki, and the two need to find a way to navigate their differences (and several near death predicaments) if they want to survive in the universe.
(slow burn romance + space opera adventure story, with trans nb main character)

Kara is a servant of the Royal Palace of Asgard, who receives an offer to work in the prince's quarters when a position unexpectedly opens up. How does she balance Prince Loki, the God of Mischief, who seems hell-bent on making her life a living nightmare, and her tumultuous family life while also maintaining her position as servant of the royal family? Kara's curiosity gets the better of her, causing her to get much more involved in the life of the prince than she initially expected. A tale centered around healing from trauma, creating solace in friendship, a budding love, and finding meaning.
An important part of this story involves Kara's relationship with her mother, who struggles with alcoholism. I will put warnings in the notes and mark parts of the chapters that do involve these topics, as I know they can be sensitive parts of this story. There will be brief mentions of PTSD symptoms as experienced by the OC reader, which will also be marked in the story notes before each chapter. If these topics make you especially uncomfortable, I recommend skipping this fic.

Life as president isn’t as glorious as Loki had imagined it would be, but when it all becomes too tiresome he knows just where to go to unwind.
