The day Tommy got sold off was like literally any other day in this boring hell scape. Meaty kibble in the morning, a couple customers who cooed at the nearby blob-rodents and gawked at his awesomeness, and nothing to do except throw his rubber ball against the side of the enclosure like that scene from that one war movie. All normal and usual.
Until the front door to the shop slid open and a ghost walked in.
Or: Tommy gets bought by an uninformed alien!SBI and Tommy learns to live as a pet.

Tommy is tired and smart, he’s political and keeps it locked up. He doesn’t make small talk on the subway and the owner of the sandwich shop down the block knows him by name. He doesn’t have friends, he’s always spending extra time in chemistry class. He declines his neighbors’ invitation to play Mario Kart and smiles politely at Ms. Puffy when she insists he takes three steaming bowls of pho.
He’s normal, probably a bit sad, a bit too tired, definitely too lonely. The thing is, Thomas ‘I told you, it’s just Tommy’ Watson is Spider-man.
Yeah, he can’t really decide if he likes the arrangement either.

tommy is not like his brothers, and if he isnt well known like they are then who is he? wilbur puts a stop to those thoughts.

Tommy’s eyes widen, grabbing onto a metal latter as he leans over. “Like brothers?!”
“Who are you?” Wilbur replies, trying to stick to their mostly non-existent although still referenced script.
“Like brothers?! Like crimeboys?!” Tommy continues, ignoring Wilbur’s attempts to stick to their characters in favor of messing with the man.
It’s been years but Tommy knows the way the word brother still messes with Wilbur’s head, making him break, even if he’s able to cover it up better these days. The others might not notice it but Tommy certainly doesn’t miss the way the man has to fight the smile that threatens to form on his lips as he attempts to stay in character.

“Hey Clem, what’s up?”
“‘Sup Tommy, you up for hanging out today?”
“Uh yeah sure, what do you wanna do?”
“Well, I’m going to a concert later tonight and I have an extra ticket if you wanna come.”
Tommy looked at the clock on the corner of the TV. It read 2 PM, he didn’t have anything else to do.
“I’m down. What’s the band name?”
“They’re called the Sleepy Bois. They’re not huge but they have a couple popular songs so I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve heard them play.”
Tommy scanned his memory for any trace of the band, “I haven't heard of them, or at least I don’t remember.”
“Well one of my friends is the keyboardist so I figured I’d go to one of his shows.”
“Sweet, what time?”
“I’ll pick you up at 5. I’m sneaking sodas in, since drinks are so overpriced at the show, so we’ll stop by the gas station to get drinks.”
“Ok, I’ll bring cash, see ya’ then,” Tommy hangs up after exchanging goodbyes.

Art was like breathing in a way. It was Tommy's whole life-he's not sure what he’d be doing without it. He kept going, adding everything he could. Everything his eyes could see, everything his brain could recognize.
Wilbur Soot was cast aside and left to burn and crumble, he never did. He doesn't know why he's still here and barely hanging on.
Technoblade was a silent soul, he wouldn't spill his feelings no matter how badly he was drowning in them. Even if he was tired of being used, he would not break. His feelings would be kept to himself and him alone.
Phil is a teacher at an art school, who teaches art and psychology, he meets these three lost kids, adults maybe, but they were never given the chance to be children.
