Summary

Summary
Steve Rogers is new to the Avengers tower and has been living there for six months. As much as he misses his time, he's beginning to make friends with the Avengers. But he's been hiding a huge secret. He had been struggling with an Eating Disorder pre-serum. Now he woke up seventy years later and Bucky is no longer around to make sure he's eating and keeping up with meals.
No one knows his secret, but that all changes when Tony confronts him about his eating habits, or lack thereof. How can Steve keep his secret if Tony is catching on? He begins to learn that Tony was the first to notice because he's got a special relationship with Tony and it might be more than friendship.

Trapped in an endless sea of guilt and fear, Steve does whatever he can to survive this nightmare and not lose himself to the horrors and violence of prison life, especially the vicious abuse at the hands of cruel and sadistic prison guards.
The last thing Steve expects is to find a true connection with anyone, let alone fall in love. But there's something intriguing about his surly, miserable, mad-at-the-world bunkmate, Barnes, and whatever it is, it might be the key to both of them getting through this terrifying ordeal together.

Occasionally, it just feels good snuggling on the floor and pretending again until it wasn't pretending anymore. Occasionally it felt good to crawl on all fours and nudge each other with their noses, reminiscing in the fucked up chemicals that were still there, they just no longer controlled them. And they still felt just as calming as before when the agents at that forsaken HYDRA cult ruffled their hair or kissed them chastely. Occasionally it just felt good to just fall back into the messed up but simple downtime dog-like headspace.
At least, that's what they told the Avengers.
