This is Charlie's story, it is one of courage and resilience, of facing innumerable challenges yet still being true to himself, refusing to compromise on his innate values and beliefs. It is a story of hope, for with enough endurance there might be a happy future somewhere ahead...
This fic will build a different backstory for Charlie, but his character will, in essence, be similar to canon. Charlie will meet Nick at uni. This is not a slow burn, and they will have their romance and happy ending despite some challenges and road bumps along the way. This is Nick and Charlie we're talking about.
For the first time ever, I am creating original characters and it's been so much fun to do! I feel like I'm actually creating a somewhat unique AU.

When Paul was six, his mother told him the legend of the Tigers. Mythical creatures that held abilities to make or break the future of anyone they came into contact with. There was no real explanation given to him as to why it was that case, much less what came of the tigers. Therefore, at age of six Paul’s dreams were flooded by a tiger.
Unlike most things in his dream, Paul never seemed to be able to control the creature. It moved with its own mind. Never was it at the same spot, but they also were never at the same surrounding often. Each dream, the tiger’s fur would change like a chameleon. The black and white fur would disappear from sight, but the eyes. Large, round black eyes would always be visible. It was at a point where Paul felt as if he could feel those eyes on him when he slept in his own room. It was as exhilarating as it was frightening.
